Tuesday urged a Mapo Customary Court
in Ibadan to dissolve his 43-year-old
marriage to his wife, Mojisola over
alleged misbehaviour.
Ajao, who told the court that he was
tired of the marriage, added: "Mojisola
does not take to my instructions and
chooses to do whatever pleases her.
"Whenever, she leaves home in the
morning, she does not return until late
in the night. She is too quarrelsome not
only with me but also with those in the
neighbourhood.
"Many people have intervened in the
past, urging me to continue to be
patient with her but I can no longer
cope with her.
"Her late father even knew that she was
troublesome and four out of the five
children approved of the dissolution if it
would bring peace," Ajao said.
In her reply, Mojisola urged the court
not to grant her husband's application,
saying "I still love him''.
She told the court that Ajao lied against
her but she still want to continue to live
awith him.
"Ajao even wanted to kill me in
December 2013, I am not troublesome,"
Mojisola said.
Tawakalitu, one of the children in court,
prayed the court not to dissolve the
marriage.
"My mother has been suffering all this
while for my father, please, help to save
the marriage," Tawakalitu pleaded.
The President of the court, Mr. Ezekiel
Ogundipe, said the other four children
would testify whether or not they
wanted the marriage to be dissolved.
Ogundipe adjourned the case to April 1,
2014 for further hearing.
