Actress, Mary Lazarus makes her production debut with a new movie called ‘Dance To My Beat’. The talented actor and model shot her movie around July last year and it stars Joseph Benjamin, Kehinde Bankole, Mary Remmy Njoku, Toyin Abraham, Mary Lazarus, Oma Nnadi, Uzor Osimkpa, Blessing Onwukwe, Lilian Afegbai, Oby Olebara Uzoukwu, Justice Nuagbe (Ushbebe) Aaron Chidi.
The movie, which tells the life of LAMIDE, a jobless high class sociable lady who mounts pressures on her fiancé, RAYMOND, a civil servant with a meager salary to get married to her immediately or face her wrath.
Raymond loves her so much and begs for more time as he complains his resources will not be enough to fund the high class wedding of her dreams. Lamide who has made attending other people’s parties and buying their Aso-Ebi her occupation, convinces Raymond to get a bank loan to fund their traditional marriage/wedding as she plans to turn both ceremonies into a serious business by buying cheap Aso-Ebi materials which will be sold very expensive to recoup the loan amount with a high target profit. Raymond falls for it and applies for a bank loan.
Lamide ensures her wedding will be talk of the town as she auditions for bridal train with ridiculous criterion. Her Aso-Ebi material was fixed at an outrageous cut throat price tag of Eighty Thousand Naira. Lamide convinces Raymond and his colleague to join in the marketing of the Aso-Ebi. An Aso-Ebi marketing strategy of emotional blackmail of friends and family members, coercion or practical use of force is hatched to sell the Aso-Ebi. There shall be no mercy or excuses as Lamide fully arms herself with a POS. The Aso-Ebi marketers hit town but Lamide fails to brace herself for what comes next after the wedding. Payback never sounded so good when it was time for Lami to Dance to Rhoda’s beat.
The movie which was directed by Paul Igwe is scheduled to hit the big screen on September 22, 2017, “Dance To My Beat” is the production of M-Laz Productions owned by Mary Lazarus.
