Prof. Ben E. A. Oghojafor (Professor of Strategic Management) and Prof.
Folasade Tolulope Ogunsola, (a Professor of Medical Microbiology) were
appointed the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services) and Deputy
Vice-Chancellor (Development Services) respectively with effect from
Monday, February 27, 2017.
Their appointments which was in accordance with the provisions of the

in the Universities (miscellaneous provision) Act 1993 is sequel to
their nomination and election at the University Senate Meeting held on
Wednesday, February 22, 2017.
The tenure of the appointments is 2 years (February 27, 2017 – February 26, 2019).
Prof. Ben Emukufia Akpoyomare Oghojafor was born on February 1, 1959 in Abraka Inland, Delta Sate, Professor Ben Emukufia Akpoyomare Oghojafor is a thorough-bred alumnus of the University of Lagos with a First Degree in Business Administration (1984), Masters Degree in General Management (1987) and Doctoral Degree in Strategic Management (1992/1993).
The renowned Professor joined the services of the University of Lagos as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Business Administration in 1988 and was appointed Lecturer Grade II in 1992; Lecturer Grade I in 1996; Senior Lecturer in 1997; Associate Professor in 000 and Professor in 2004.
He was elected Dean, Faculty of Business Administration from 1st August 2009 to July 31, 2013. He was also elected by Congregation into the Governing Council of the University from 2011 to 2015.
Professor Folasade Tolulope Ogunsola Professor was born on November 14, 1958. She attended Maryhill Government School and Staff School, University of Ibadan for her Primary Education from 1963-1969. She proceeded to Queens College, Yaba, Lagos, from 1963-1974 where she finished in the Grade I Category.
She graduated with MB.ChB from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University). She obtained a M.Sc. Med Micro with distinction from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos in 1990. She then proceeded to University of Wales, College of Medicine, where she bagged Diploma in Biomedical Techniques in 1993. She obtained FMCPath in 1995 from the National Postgraduate Medical College and FWACP (Lab Medicine) in 1997 from the West African College of Physicians. She was awarded Ph.D in 1998 from University of Wales, College of Medicine.
Professor Ogunsola joined the services of University of Lagos as Lecturer I in 1995, and rose to Senior Lecturer in 1997; Associate Professor in 2004 and became full Professor in 2008. She was the immediate past Provost, College of Medicine, University of Lagos.
