Woman Saved From Suicide by RRS On 3rd Mainland Bridge After Leaving Her Husband

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) prevented a 27-year-old woman from jumping into the lagoon with her 12–month old baby in Lagos. She was restrained by two RRS men from plunging into the lagoon from the top of the Third Mainland Bridge.

A cab driver had drawn the RRS riders’ attention to Mrs Adegoke, near the lagoon.

On interrogation at the RRS Headquarters, Mrs Adegoke said she trekked all the way from Medina Estate in Gbagada area to the Third Mainland.

She said that she heard a voice in her head asking her to go to the Third Mainland Bridge.

According to her, she decided to hearken to the voice because it was constant. Adegoke told interrogators on Tuesday that she moved to her parent’s house in Gbagada, following issues with her husband.

She was release on Wednesday with her baby to her relatives. They are expected to seek prayers for her.
