Here is why Olamide’s “Abule sowo” may not hit like “Shakitibobo”

 

Olamide Baddo the YBNL boss himself released another song “abule sowo” on Tuesday 15th March 2016 which happened to be his birthday.

Needless to say, it had the usual street content and like always, lyrics that every one can chant along with but one major question is that can the song hit like Shakitibobo?

Unlike the rushed and shallow beat of Abule sowo, Shakitibobo was well cooked.

Almost everyone fell in love with Shakitibobo, it wasn’t limited to the Yoruba speaking sect alone, the Yoruba words were mild unlike the deep or should I say concentrated Yoruba words in Abule sowo.

A major plus is that Shakitibobo came out with its own dance step which became a major rave in clubs and parties. This dance is still relevant till now.

Shakitibobo isn’t a one hit wonder, it still enjoys maximum “whoos” and “aahs” whenever played. A response I fear Abule sowo might not get.

Regardless of the Yoruba rapper’s street credibility and sentimental fans. I don’t think Abule sowo will be a hit like Shakitibobo.
