Ms Ogar and others were demoted and compulsorily retired by the FG.
The case comes up on Thursday 18 in Abuja before the NICN President,
Justice Babatunde Adejumo. Those named as defendants in the suit are the
Attorney General of the Federation, the State Security Service (SSS)
and the Director General SSS.
Ahmed Raji SAN who filed the suit on behalf of Ogar wants the court to

Director to Chief Security Intelligence Officer.
Ms Ogar is seeking a Court declaration that her employment with the SSS has statutory flavor and same may only be determined strictly in accordance with the relevant provisions of the public service Rules.
Ogar through her lawyer is asking the Court to determine whether she is a public officer and whether she can be lawfully demoted, sacked or retired by the defendants.
Ms Ogar was promoted alongside 44 others in the twilight of the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. But the Buhari administration reversed the promotions, citing irregularities and breach of extant rules guiding such actions.
Ogar reportedly earned her promotion following commendation she received from former President Jonathan for doing “a fantastic job”.
