The Lagos State University has said the institution will reopen on Monday for
academic and administrative activities.
The school was shut on March 23 in what the school’s authorities and the
state government described as a pre-emptive measure against possible
violence during the March 28 and April 11 polls which might affect the
students and staff.
In a terse statement posted on its website, the school said that all outstanding
issues would be resolved.
“Lagos State University re-opens for both academic and administrative
activities on Monday, May 18, 2015. The Governing Council and Management
of LASU hereby direct that the university be re-opened for administrative and
academic activities with effect from Monday, May 18, 2015.
“Consequently, all staff and students are enjoined to go about their normal
activities, in an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. It is hoped that all
outstanding issues would be resolved in due course,” the school said.
Atlast LASU Finally reopens
