Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, has missed out on being named the
best goalkeeper in the French Ligue 1 at an awards ceremony held on Sunday
evening by the Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionnels (UNFP), the
umbrella body of professional players.
Goal reports that the Enyeama could not stop Paris Saint Germain's Salvatore
Sirigu from retaining his title.
The Italian also edged out Marseille's Steve Mandanda and Saint Etienne's
Stéphane Ruffier.
Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic retained his best player title and also won
the award for goal of the season after scoring 25 times with 13 assists.
"I think this is the best in my career," Ibrahimovic said after getting his
award. "This is a great honour for me. I thank all my teammates, the staff, the
club and the supporters."
He beat PSG team mates Thiago Motta and Thiago Silva as well as Monaco's
James Rodriguez to the title.
