Osun Osogbo: Opon ayo, soccer competitions get

One of the official sponsors of Osun Osogbo
Festival, Grand Oak Limited, has said it
will give out prizes to winners in soccer
and opon ayo competitions in the annual
festival.
Category Manager of the company, Mr
Abiodun Ayodeji, stated this in Osogbo, on
Tuesday.
He said, "We believe in culture and
tradition as tools for social re-engineering
and development.
"This is why we are sponsoring soccer and
opon ayo competitions in order to promote
culture and engage our youths
constructively."
Ayodeji, who explained that both
competitions would be played on a "round
robin basis," stressed that the opon ayo
competition would commence on
Wednesday (today) while the knockout
stage of soccer competition would kick off
on Thursday.
