celebrating other people in the movie who
are worthy of such recognition in future.
Receiving her award from the AGN
president, Omotola thanked her
colleagues and family, describing the
award as one of the biggest honors she
has ever received. In her words, ‘ it’s

recognized but it’s awesome when one of
your own recognizes you’. She further
urged other actors and actresses to
continue being passionate for what they
are doing adding that, ‘you might not

world to change life but just one person
and that one person is watching you.’
Omotola was honoured in April on the
2013 Times 100 Most Influential People
in The World List alongside Michelle
Obama, Beyonce and Kate Middleton.
